What's a better time to learn knitting? It's been snowing and raining in New York.
This semester I took a hand knitting class in Parsons. We had to visit different yarn stores to buy our supplies. One of them is Downtown Yarns which is located on Avenue A between 3rd & 4th Street. The store was tiny, yet warm and cozy. They provide all kinds of yarns. The people there were very kind and helpful in getting what I needed for class. I loved it. There is also a store called Lion Brand Yarn Studio at 34 W 15 St. However, my professor does not recommend it because their acrylic yarns have really bad quality. So if you want to get good quality yarns, check out Downtown Yarns.
Best,
Katrina
